You should by now have your flight details and ticket (or details of PTA voucher for issue at the airline ticket desk) for your travel to Saudi Arabia. In order for your journey to be as smooth as possible, please observe the following guidelines:

When packing your luggage, ensure that you do not bring

• Alcoholic beverages

• Pork Products

• Religious texts, Icons or Photographs

• Books/Magazines/Newspapers containing revealing photographs

• Video tapes or CD Videos

The following items are best packed in your hand-baggage:

On arrival at Riyadh Airport, please be prepared for a possible lengthy period to clear immigration and customs. Ensure that you obtain an Entry Form from either the Air Stewards on board your aircraft before you land or from the desk inside the Passport/Entry Control Area on arrival. Make sure you have completed this Immigration Form before presenting your passport to Immigration Control. Although entry visa problems and detention at customs are thankfully rare, if you do experience any problems, ask the authorities to make contact with our representative who will be waiting to meet you in the arrival hall.

Once through entry formalities you should proceed to the baggage claim area and retrieve your luggage. You will have to pass through Customs Control (this is via x-ray machine and may involve physical inspection of luggage). On completion of Customs you should proceed to the arrivals hall where our representative will be waiting for you (look for the G.T.C Rep holding up a Welcome display board with your name on it. For those employees from Western Agencies the G.T.C Representative will take you by car to your accommodation. Please note that food, laundry and telephone expenses will be to your account.
